Growing up an Army brat (and then an Air Force brat), books were often my first friends in a new place. They were there to tell me that I wasn’t alone—that everybody felt this way sometimes—and to distract me when it was time to unpack my room, again and again. It's hard to pick just one book as my favorite. It feels like picking a favorite child. But one book series that will forever speak to me of adventure, fantasy, family, and faith is The Chronicles of Narnia.
