I’m a Ph.D.-level academic editor with more than 30 years of experience supporting graduate students, scholars, professionals, and international writers. I specialize in APA 7 compliance, line and developmental editing, and working with multilingual and ESL writers at the master’s and doctoral level. I’ve edited over 1,800 dissertations, theses, capstone projects, journal articles, grant proposals, and educational materials across a wide range of disciplines. I also edit in CMoS, AMA, MLA, and other documentation styles.
In addition to editing, I’ve served as the Doctoral Writing Advisor at one of the largest universities in the United States, where I supported doctoral students through the writing and formatting process. I’m currently the Managing Editor of the Journal of English Learner Education and regularly prepare manuscripts for journal publication, including in the fields of education, linguistics, psychology, health sciences, and business.
My background includes a Ph.D. in Education with a TESOL specialization, an M.A. in TESOL, and decades of teaching applied linguistics, EAP and academic writing, and ESL methodology. I also edit translated content and creative projects such as memoirs and personal statements. I have extensive experience with graduate writers from around the world and take a respectful and thorough approach to every document I edit.
Whether you need line editing, structure support, formatting assistance, or simply some general feedback, I provide compassionate guidance to help you meet academic or professional expectations.
