I am highly dissatisfied with the service provided for this 688-word extract, particularly given the cost ($23+) and the explicit instructions provided. I submitted this extract as a test case before committing to the full manuscript, and the results do not justify paying for further work. My Primary Goal was clearly stated: to provide a "comprehensive rewrite" to remove all traces of generic, LLM-generated phrasing and reduce the high AI-detection risk. The revisions were minuscule and superficial, primarily consisting of minor rephrasing and word swaps, which is not a "comprehensive rewrite." I ran the revised document through a reputable AI detection software (Turnitin), and the AI detection score did not change at all. This confirms that the key objective of the job was not met. Further, the editor's response demonstrates a total misunderstanding of the request. The editor mentioned running the text through Quillbot and noted that "most of the areas that registered as 'moderate' in terms of detection were ones that were being sourced. I had explicitly mentioned I was trying to reduce the AI detection rate, not the similarity score or plagiarism (sourcing issues). To make things worse, the advice provided by the editor that I should "consider getting a premium service that will specifically flag some of the areas where 'humanization' is in order" is absurd! I paid over $23 for a 688-word extract and specifically chose this service to achieve "humanization." The editor suggested I purchase another service to do the job I just paid them to do. If paying over $23 for 688 words does not constitute a "premium service", what rate is required?
