I'm grateful for the fast turn around time and the many proofreading corrections and suggestions which certainly helped my manuscript (book). I have been using professional proofreaders for years, one in particular who recently retired. She was phenomenal and a hard act to follow. CopyChief missed a couple of typos and provided some inconsistent corrections (correcting something on one page but ignoring the same thing in another occurrence on the same page, for example). Also, the manuscript that was returned corrected did not match exactly the manuscript that was submitted, as if when copy chief opened my original manuscript in Word it was autocorrected immediately before editing began, so some changes were made but not indicated in the proofread manuscript that was returned. I just happened to notice that some things had been changed (capital vs non capital letters, for instance). Overall I was grateful for the work done by Copy Chief. My manuscript was 47,334 words. I also had 30,000 words in the references and index, but declined to include them in order to reduce costs.

I had sampled a few other editors on the sight before deciding to go with CopyChief. He made small but substantive changes to my 80k manuscript and cleaned up the bad grammar. Highly recommend!
